Digital Activism App – ISEP Student Project 2024

MindsIT accompanied ISEP bachelor’s students on their final year group project: the development of a “Digital Activism App”. This project aimed to create a digital solution, either a mobile or web application, to help individuals engage with and protest for their preferred causes and topics. The core challenge was to design an intuitive concept and interface that effectively emulates key aspects of physical activism in a digital space, fostering real-time engagement and clear communication.

• Defined and built a digital solution (Mobile or Web App) for digital engagement.
• Emulated concepts from physical activism such as well-defined causes, time-bounded planning, and real-time participant engagement.
• Focused on clear messages, slogans, or symbols within the application.
• Enabled measurement of the audience (size, diversity) and social media engagement.
• Applied a design thinking approach to identify the optimal solution.
• Defined basic application specifications including UX and user stories.
• Designed a high-level architecture and selected appropriate technologies (Mobile/Web, Frontend, Backend).
• Developed frontend and backend services as needed.
• Tested the application and iterated based on feedback.
• Delivered a concept description, ideation process, and Proof of Concept application code.
